First, you will need a backup of the Journyx  Product data to be migrated. Use the backupdb command in %wthome%\jwt\bin (win32 platforms) or $WTHOME/pi/bin (unix) to create an OS and database-independent backup file of your Journyx Product database. You will be prompted for the file in which to back up the Journyx data. Specify the full path to this file. When you have finished creating the backup file, begin the migration.

If you are migrating across database types, operating system types, upgrading to a more recent version of Journyx, or on a Unix machine:

1. In the new Journyx  Product installation, run the restoredb command. This command is found in $WTHOME/pi/bin (unix).

2. As with the backupdb command, you will be prompted for all the relevant information. Specify the entire path to the file from which the database should be restoring.

If you are on a Windows platform:

1. Install the new installation.

2. Run the restoredb command.

3. As with the backupdb command, you will be prompted for all the relevant information. Specify the entire path to the file from which the database should be restoring.
